With what has been a few controversial weeks in the fashion industry with the plus size models debate, I attended my first event Tuesday night for MSFW. I went along to the Designer Series Runway Show 1 at the Melbourne Town Hall.
In a case of fashionably late, the event was due to start at 9pm but ran half an hour late with many seats unfilled. I had been looking forward to the event and was expecting a buzz of excitement but found the atmosphere a little flat.
Upon arrival we were given a complimentary drink to start the evening which is always nice and overall, staff were very helpful and friendly. So here is my review, designer by designer:
The parade kicked off with some enchanting dancers showcasing incredible headgear by Richard Nylon Millinery – great timing for Spring Racing.
I didn't really get into the first designs by Christine. She featured khaki, tangerines, blue and mustard colors with a safari feel to some of the outfits however there was a long maxi I loved.
